Injective has officially launched native EVM support on its Cosmos-based layer-one blockchain, giving developers full compatibility with Ethereum tools and smart contracts. The rollout follows months of testing and marks a big step forward for Injective’s “inEVM” project, which aims to bridge the gap between Ethereum’s developer base and the high-performance world of Cosmos.

Making Ethereum Developers Feel at Home

This new integration means developers can now deploy and run Ethereum-style smart contracts on Injective without rewriting them for CosmWasm or learning a new coding environment.

    The Injective era has begun.

The Injective EVM Mainnet is now live, bringing builders, users and institutions worldwide a revolutionary blockchain capable of real-time transaction speeds within a truly MultiVM network.

The network now supports Solidity, standard Ethereum toolkits, and workflows while maintaining its high-speed transaction capabilities. For developers who have built on Ethereum, it opens a familiar doorway into the Cosmos ecosystem, giving them an easier path to expand or migrate their applications.

A Native System Built Into the Core

Unlike many other blockchains that bolt on EVM compatibility through bridges or side chains, Injective’s implementation is native. It sits directly within the chain’s core, ensuring faster execution and lower latency. Internal testing showed the system could process up to 9,000 lightweight transactions per second in CPU-bound tests and between 320 and 800 Ethereum-style transactions per second in full simulations.

This combination of speed and compatibility allows developers to build smart contracts that take advantage of Injective’s advanced modules without giving up Ethereum’s familiar environment.

    Why Developers Are Paying Attention

For projects looking to deploy, this change makes life easier. There is no longer a need to choose between the flexibility of the EVM and the functionality of Cosmos modules—they can use both at once. Smart contracts can be deployed with tools like Hardhat or Foundry, and developers still get access to Injective’s native order book system, derivatives markets, and MEV-resistant design.

    Market Cap

The update effectively unites the two worlds, giving dApps and DeFi projects more room to innovate and collaborate across ecosystems.

A Strategic Shift in Blockchain Competition

With this upgrade, Injective steps into a new category among both Cosmos-based chains and EVM-compatible networks. While many competitors offer wrapped or bridged EVM layers, Injective’s native support provides a smoother experience with real performance gains.

This move could draw projects that want the scalability and transaction speeds of Cosmos without abandoning Ethereum’s massive developer base. In an industry focused on interoperability and scale, Injective’s new approach positions it to compete for attention from serious builders.

    What Comes Next

Now that the feature is live, the spotlight shifts to adoption. Analysts and developers will be watching how many projects start migrating or launching directly on Injective’s EVM layer, how the network handles sustained traffic, and whether dual support for Cosmos and EVM remains efficient under pressure.

The Injective EVM release today was made possible with the backing of some of the most premier dApps, partners and infrastructure protocols in the space.

The most telling signs will come from growth in dApps, liquidity, and developer activity over the coming months.

    A Step Toward a More Connected Web3

Injective’s EVM rollout is about more than compatibility—it’s about merging two powerful ecosystems under one roof. It invites Ethereum developers to tap into high-performance infrastructure while keeping their existing toolsets intact. At the same time, it gives Cosmos users access to a larger world of Ethereum-based innovation. Together, these changes move Injective closer to becoming a central hub for scalable, interoperable, and developer-friendly Web3 infrastructure.
